Community

Eden Prairie Montessori is a community of children, families and staff, all dedicated to the holistic development of children. We foster a love of learning and provide a secure and enriching environment. Families find the Eden Prairie Montessori community warm and inviting. The bonds they form in our community last a life time! We also strive to give back to the wider community by encouraging acceptance and love in all children that attend our school.

Education

Through the Montessori philosophy, we are committed to providing quality education and care for young children, preparing them to become responsible, respectful, and independent individuals with a passion for life-long learning. We use our mission as a driving factor for success in all that we do.

Learning

Eden Prairie Montessori Learning Center provides a child-focused, self-paced learning environment for cognitive, social, emotional, and moral development. Our instructors serve as facilitators for learning . Rather than leading classrooms, each instructor prepares age-appropriate Montessori materials and carefully monitors students and their progress for a customized education.

Culture

Some people might be surprised to find out that at Eden Prairie Montessori, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners are learning a second language early on in their education! That’s right, in all of our classrooms all children have the opportunity to learn Spanish from a native speaker. One of the best ways to learn about the wider world is through learning a new language, which leads quite naturally to learning about the lives and culture of those who speak that language. In our classroom we also weave cultural teachings and celebrations from around the world to encourage children to understand others and be curious and respectful of the wider world around them.

Respect

At Eden Prairie Montessori, we’ve been setting a standard of excellence in Montessori education for years. To date, we’ve influenced the lives of hundreds of families to inspire a life-long love of learning while cultivating independence, respect , and responsibility in each student. Children learn to respect other cultures, ideas, and each other.

Diversity

At Eden Prairie Montessori we are proud of our diversity . Our students and our staff come from a varied background of countries and cultures. This gives us the unique ability to recognize and celebrate a wide range of cultures and holidays of the world with authenticity. Your child will learn from an early age to respect and cherish the qualities that make us all different and unique, while recognizing that we are all bound by a common thread of humanity.

Growth

Each member of the Eden Prairie Montessori team is fully trained and credentialed to guide the growth and development of your children. We believe that by surrounding our students with highly qualified, specially trained professionals, each will reach his or her full potential from a cognitive, social, emotional, and physical perspective.

Trust

With years of providing quality Montessori instruction to the Eden Prairie community, you can trust that your little one is in good and loving hands. Our caregivers are dedicated, caring, and energetic people with a genuine love for children and a passion for learning! Let’s talk about one of the best things about toddlers (aside from their adorable vocabulary and unmatched snack enthusiasm): they love to help. Truly. Whether they’re dragging a broom twice their size across the floor or insisting on stirring the pancake batter, they’re all in. To them, daily tasks aren’t “chores” - they are important jobs! Real, grown-up work. Work that says, you matter and you belong here. But if your once-eager toddler has morphed into a bigger kid who suddenly seems less thrilled about helping out, you’re not alone. As children grow, they become more independent and focused on their own interests. It’s totally natural and actually a beautiful sign of their development! Still, that doesn’t mean the desire to help disappears. We just have to nurture it a little differently. Here are some simple, Montessori-inspired ways to keep that helpful spirit alive as your child grows...
